Today a group of us gathered at Cascade Falls for Brander's ordination. I'll write about it another day, once I've sifted through everything in my brain and can condense 2 hours into two paragraphs. For now I wanted to share this amazing picture from the water ceremony part of the day. In this ceremony Brander immersed himself in the water 4 times, with an elder brushing him with cedar boughs each time. This was very moving for Brander and seemingly for the elder as well. Some of us watched in prayer, witnessing Brander communing with God. It reminded me of our surrender to God and his renewal of our lives. He redeems the unredeemable. He makes good the mistakes in our lives. Read the words from an old song of Brander's and look at the expression on his face. It's an amazing God moment.
